Militants abduct another person in Lagos
Gunmen yesterday abducted another Lagos businessman at Ishawo in Ikorodu area of Lagos.
Yesterday’s abduction brought to about six persons so far kidnapped in Lagos state in the last one month.
An immigration officer and a pastor were allegedly kidnapped in the same area.
While the immigration officer was kidnapped twice by the displaced vandals at Ishawo area, the Oniba of Iba was abducted few days later by suspected militants.
Presently, security operatives are battling with the attacks on Igando Community in Lagos.
The suspected militants yesterday abducted a man, Hyginius Nkoronye, at the Ishawo area of Ikorodu, and are demanding a N20 million ransom.
A source from the victim’s family who spoke on the condition of anonymity, said, “My brother was kidnapped on his way from midweek Church programme. The kidnappers have demanded N20 million ransom and we are still negotiating with them”
The State Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) Dolapo Badmus, denied knowledge of any kidnapping in Ishawo. The PPRO said, “There was no report of any kidnap in Ishawo. What we are battling is the kidnap of a pastor abducted on Sunday”
