NITDA reiterates commitment to support start-ups
The Head, e-government and Information Technology Infrastructure Security Services of the National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA), Mr Bernard Ewah, yesterday, reiterated the commitment of the agency to promote local start-ups.
He said that the NITDA has sponsored local start-ups to iformation technology exhibitions outside the country.
Speaking during the justconcluded ICTEL EXPO 2016, Ewah said that the NITDA has created many platforms for local start-ups to interact with one of the best start-ups in the world and exposed them to international investors.
“Last year, one of our local start-ups got significant interest from an international investor in one of the information technology exhibitions outside this country and this start-up is doing very well now,” Ewa said.
He said that the NITDA would sponsor 16 start-ups to an information technology exhibition in Dubai, this year.
He said that the agency has a subsidiary dedicated to providing mentorship for start-ups.
