322 youth graduate from 11 trades in Kaduna

About 322 de­pen­dants of the Nige­rian Air Force ser­vice yes­ter­day grad­u­ated as the 22nd batch of the Fed­eral Min­istry of Labour and Em­ploy­ment’s Skills, Up­grad­ing and Vo­ca­tion Cen­tre after a six months train­ing.

Daily Trust gath­ered that the trainees have been equipped with fun­da­men­tal skills in­clud­ing com­mu­ni­ca­tion skills, at­ti­tu­di­nal de­vel­op­ment, self-es­teem, small scale en­ter­prise de­vel­op­ment, to­tal qual­ity man­age­ment, prob­lem solv­ing and de­ci­sion mak­ing and health, safety and en­vi­ron­ment.

Speak­ing at the grad­u­a­tion yes­ter­day in Kaduna, the prin­ci­pal of the cen­tre, Musa S. D., said the 322 stu­dents - 236 males and 86 fe­males - have ac­quired a cer­tain level of pro­fi­ciency in their cho­sen vo­ca­tions and would soon be­come masters of their trades and em­ploy­ers of labour.

He said the train­ing started on Jan­uary 4, with 45 trainees of the De­pen­dants of the NAF ser­vice adding that on April 4, 2016 and May 9, 2016, 85 of the de­pen­dants en­rolled while on Fe­bru­ary 1, 2016, 153 trainees also en­rolled.
