Kwali to probe shoddy projects
The Chairman of Kwali Area Council, Mr. Joseph Shazhin, has said he will thoroughly investigate some of the projects awarded by the past administration.
Shazhin spoke shortly after he received the report of an 18-man projects inspection and evaluation committee in his office on Tuesday.
He said the committee was not set up to witchhunt but to keep the record straight adding, however that there are some findings that he could not ignore. He said the electorate would be informed of the findings at the appropriate time.
“There are some projects which gulp a lot of money, but after two years some of them are in a dilapidated stage.
“Besides, the tax payers money that was engulfed in this projects was about N300 million,” the council chairman said.
