MAN appoints 4 directors, promotes 374 others

The Maritime Academy of Nigeria (MAN) has appointed four directors to head its various departments.

A statement from the academy explained that they were part of the 378 staff promoted by the management at the instance of the Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi.

In the promotion exercise, Mr. Siddi Mkpandiok was promoted to director, corporate affairs and Mr. Emmanuel Essien, director, personnel affairs.

Also, Mr. Sunday Udoh and Mr. Okon Okon were promoted directors of finance and accounts. Two staff were also promoted to the rank of deputy registrars. They are Mr. Peter Netson and Mr. Ishiola Yusuf.

Mrs Theresa Anya and Babawale Ogunsola were also promoted as deputy directors and four lecturers were elevated to the rank of assistant chief lecturers. They include Mrs. Atim Ikara, Mr. Ekwere William, Mr. Olaoluwa Omotosho, Mrs. Angela Udofe and an Assistant Chief Librarian, Mr. Effiong Okon.

The statement explained that the promotion was the result of the junior, senior and management staff interviews, which took place in the main campus of the academy late last year.
