Ogidi seeks govt’s support for cottage hospital expansion

- From Itodo Daniel Sule, Lokoja

The people of Ogidi in Ijumu LGA of Kogi State have appealed to the state government to support the community in expanding a cottage hospital built by the community.

The President of the Ogidi Development Union (ODU), Mr Kayode Eniolorunda, made the appeal at the weekend during the 6th Ogidi Day celebration held at Ogidi, saying the hospital which was built and equipped for the community with the support of an international organization, Ripples Foundation, needed the support of government in the areas of health personnel and expansion of infrastructure to accommodate the state-ofthe-art medical equipment supplied to the hospital.

Kayode said the concept of the Ogidi Day as the biggest cultural event in Nigeria in the month of June had come to stay.
