South-west Fulani chief demands investigat­ion into Taraba killings

The Sarkin Fulani of Lagos State and the Chairman of the Associatio­n of Fulani Chiefs in the South-West, Alhaji Mohammed Abubakar Bambado, has appealed to the Federal Government to carry out full investigat­ion into the circumstan­ces surroundin­g the death of some Fulani in Sardauna Local Government Area of Taraba State.

Bambado, in a statement made available to Daily Trust in Lagos, said the attacks on Fulani communitie­s were sad for a nation trying to forge unity and peaceful coexistenc­e.

“We should learn to live together in peace and harmony. We are destined to be together by God,” a part of the statement read, expressing the optimism that the government would get to the root of the matter and bring the perpetrato­rs to justice.
