South-west Fulani chief demands investigation into Taraba killings
The Sarkin Fulani of Lagos State and the Chairman of the Association of Fulani Chiefs in the South-West, Alhaji Mohammed Abubakar Bambado, has appealed to the Federal Government to carry out full investigation into the circumstances surrounding the death of some Fulani in Sardauna Local Government Area of Taraba State.
Bambado, in a statement made available to Daily Trust in Lagos, said the attacks on Fulani communities were sad for a nation trying to forge unity and peaceful coexistence.
“We should learn to live together in peace and harmony. We are destined to be together by God,” a part of the statement read, expressing the optimism that the government would get to the root of the matter and bring the perpetrators to justice.
