Daily Trust - - BUSINESS - From Abdullateef Aliyu, Lagos

The Lagos Police Command yesterday handed over keys of the PDP secretariat to the former Deputy National Chairman of the party, Chief Olabode George.

The secretariat, located along Adekunle Fajuyi Shogunle GRA, was shut on Thursday last week following a leadership tussle in the state chapter.

The building was however reopened for the executive, led by the Mashood Salvador, who is recognized by the National Caretaker Committee of the party under Senator Ahmed Makarfi.

The faction chaired by Mr Segun Adewale, popularly known as Aero Land, who was loyal to Senator Ali Modu Sheriff, was hitherto occupying the secretariat.

The Commissioner of Police in the state, Mr Fatai Owoseni, handed over the keys to George, following a letter from the national caretaker committee, which confirmed Salvador as the chairman.

George said the Supreme Court judgement had resolved the leadership crisis in the party.

He said the leadership of Salvador was not in contention because the National Executive Committee (NEC) did not include Lagos as one of the states with leadership issues.
