Kwara sets 90 days for LG polls

The Kwara State Independent Electoral Commission (KWSIEC), yesterday, released the timetable for the conduct of elections in the 16 local government areas of the state.

The KWSIEC Chairman, Dr. Usman Ajidagba, said this while addressing journalists in Ilorin. He said the elections would hold within the next 90 days.

Ajidagba said the proclamation of the councils’ polls was in accordance with the powers conferred on KWSIEC in the Third Schedule, Part II of the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
