AEDC do­nates N.5m to par­ents of quin­tu­plets

The Abuja Elec­tric­ity Dis­tri­bu­tion Com­pany (AEDC) has do­nated N500,000 to par­ents of quin­tu­plets in Abuja to sup­port the up­keep of the babies.

Dur­ing a visit to their res­i­dence at Efab Es­tate, Dakwa, the Head, Cor­po­rate Ser­vices of AEDC, Abim­bola Odu­biyi, con­grat­u­lated the cou­ple for the bless­ing.

Mr Odu­biyi who rep­re­sented the firm’s Man­ag­ing Di­rec­tor, Ernest Mup­waya, pre­sented the cheque of half a mil­lion naira to the par­ents to sup­port the babies’ wel­fare.

He said, “On be­half of AEDC, we are very happy to present the sum of N500,000 as our token con­tri­bu­tion to­wards the up­bring­ing of the chil­dren. Ev­ery­thing you need to raise them up to be good mem­bers of the so­ci­ety, God shall con­tinue to pro­vide them. We also pray that all those that are look­ing for this kind of bless­ing, God will grant it to them.”

The five baby girls were born on April 12, 2017 by the fam­ily of Mr and Mrs Imu­dia Uduehi. They have been named, Grace, Peace, Good­ness, Mercy and Bless­ing.

The AEDC of­fi­cial also en­cour­aged the cou­ple in rais­ing the chil­dren on the right path.

On their part, the cou­ple ap­pre­ci­at­edthe­sup­port­ofAEDC an­dall­well-mean­ingNige­ri­ans. “We want to ap­pre­ci­ate wellmean­ing Nige­ri­ans who have come to sup­port us, in­clud­ing the Of­fice of the Head of Ser­vice of the Fed­er­a­tion, the Edo State Gov­er­nor and AEDC for their nu­mer­ous sup­port since the babies ar­rived in April,” the cou­ple said.
