AEDC donates N.5m to parents of quintuplets
The Abuja Electricity Distribution Company (AEDC) has donated N500,000 to parents of quintuplets in Abuja to support the upkeep of the babies.
During a visit to their residence at Efab Estate, Dakwa, the Head, Corporate Services of AEDC, Abimbola Odubiyi, congratulated the couple for the blessing.
Mr Odubiyi who represented the firm’s Managing Director, Ernest Mupwaya, presented the cheque of half a million naira to the parents to support the babies’ welfare.
He said, “On behalf of AEDC, we are very happy to present the sum of N500,000 as our token contribution towards the upbringing of the children. Everything you need to raise them up to be good members of the society, God shall continue to provide them. We also pray that all those that are looking for this kind of blessing, God will grant it to them.”
The five baby girls were born on April 12, 2017 by the family of Mr and Mrs Imudia Uduehi. They have been named, Grace, Peace, Goodness, Mercy and Blessing.
The AEDC official also encouraged the couple in raising the children on the right path.
On their part, the couple appreciatedthesupportofAEDC andallwell-meaningNigerians. “We want to appreciate wellmeaning Nigerians who have come to support us, including the Office of the Head of Service of the Federation, the Edo State Governor and AEDC for their numerous support since the babies arrived in April,” the couple said.
