Kano del­e­gates’ elec­tion ran­cour free — APC chair

The Kano State chap­ter of the APC has said that its del­e­gates’ elec­tion held at the week­end was ran­cour free.

A to­tal of 132 del­e­gates were elected from the 44 lo­cal gov­ern­ment ar­eas to rep­re­sent the state at the forth­com­ing na­tional con­ven­tion of the party.

The state’s chair­man of the party, Al­haji Ab­dul­lahi Ab­bas, who made the dis­clo­sure yes­ter­day, said the del­e­gates’ elec­tion was peaceful, adding that it was su­per­vised by the party’s of­fi­cials sent from the na­tional head­quar­ters.

He said con­trary to spec­u­la­tions, all the stake­hold­ers, in­clud­ing mem­bers of the Se­nate, House of Rep­re­sen­ta­tives and state as­sem­bly took part in the elec­tion.

The chair­man said the party had not re­ceived com­plaint from any party mem­ber regarding the del­e­gates’ elec­tion.
