Kano delegates’ election rancour free — APC chair
The Kano State chapter of the APC has said that its delegates’ election held at the weekend was rancour free.
A total of 132 delegates were elected from the 44 local government areas to represent the state at the forthcoming national convention of the party.
The state’s chairman of the party, Alhaji Abdullahi Abbas, who made the disclosure yesterday, said the delegates’ election was peaceful, adding that it was supervised by the party’s officials sent from the national headquarters.
He said contrary to speculations, all the stakeholders, including members of the Senate, House of Representatives and state assembly took part in the election.
The chairman said the party had not received complaint from any party member regarding the delegates’ election.
