SEMA gives relief to 307 wind storm/flood victims
About 307 people who had their houses destroyed by rainstorm and flood at Inwala-Jangefe in Katsina have benefited from ongoing distribution of building materials.
The items distributed included 1,352 bags of cement and 94 bundles of roofing sheets.
Speaking at the presentation, the executive secretary of the state emergency management agency (SEMA), Dr. Aminu Waziri said this was the third round of relief interventions to the persons affected by rainstorm across the state, that aside the building materials, the affected people were given various sums of money for the injured and to the bereaved families. He announced that similar exercise would be conducted in Malumfashi and Kankara by next week.
