SEMA gives re­lief to 307 wind storm/flood vic­tims

About 307 peo­ple who had their houses de­stroyed by rain­storm and flood at In­wala-Jangefe in Katsina have ben­e­fited from on­go­ing dis­tri­bu­tion of build­ing ma­te­ri­als.

The items dis­trib­uted in­cluded 1,352 bags of ce­ment and 94 bun­dles of roof­ing sheets.

Speak­ing at the pre­sen­ta­tion, the ex­ec­u­tive sec­re­tary of the state emer­gency man­age­ment agency (SEMA), Dr. Aminu Waziri said this was the third round of re­lief in­ter­ven­tions to the per­sons af­fected by rain­storm across the state, that aside the build­ing ma­te­ri­als, the af­fected peo­ple were given var­i­ous sums of money for the in­jured and to the be­reaved fam­i­lies. He an­nounced that sim­i­lar ex­er­cise would be con­ducted in Malum­fashi and Kankara by next week.
