Ayade prom­ises to fully equip PHC in 196 wards

Cross River State Gov­er­nor Ben Ayade has dis­closed that all the Pri­mary Health­care cen­tres in the 196 wards in the state will be fully equipped and stocked with drugs and con­sum­ables from Oc­to­ber this year.

He made the dis­clo­sure through the Per­ma­nent Sec­re­tary, Dr Joseph Bassey of the state min­istry of health yes­ter­day dur­ing the first ever Cross River State Health Sum­mit held at Transcorp Ho­tels where health poli­cies and plans were reeled out and in­ter­preted.

He said that the min­istry has enough men and ma­te­ri­als to en­able the im­ple­ment the state strate­gic devel­op­ment plan, ad­ding that it has be­come im­per­a­tive to re­vi­talise the health pro­grammes in the state.

“Our health pol­icy which is to guar­an­tee good health to all in­di­genes and res­i­dents of this state. The theme of this sum­mit is to ‘Trans­late all health poli­cies and plans into ac­tion’,” Bassey said.
