For­mer ANPP Kano chair­man Hashim Ho­toro dies at 65

A for­mer Kano State chair­man of the de­funct All Nige­ria Peo­ples Party (ANPP), Al­haji Sani Hashim Ho­toro is dead.

Hashim Ho­toro who was a close ally of a for­mer Min­is­ter of Ed­u­ca­tion and two-term gov­er­nor of the state, Malam Ibrahim Sheka­rau, died af­ter a pro­longed ill­ness at the age of 65, leav­ing be­hind two wives and four­teen chil­dren.

Al­haji Mun­tari Sani Hashim, a son of the de­ceased, said about him, “Our fa­ther had been sick for quite a long time. He had been in and out of hospi­tal on sev­eral oc­ca­sions and he died in the early hours of Thurs­day.”

The late Hashim Ho­toro has seen been buried ac­cord­ing to Is­lamic rites at the Ta­rauni Ceme­tery, Kano.
