In­se­cu­rity: NSCDC de­ploys armed per­son­nel to South­ern Kaduna

The Nige­ria Se­cu­rity and Civil De­fence Corps (NSCDC) yes­ter­day de­ployed 80 armed per­son­nel to South­ern Kaduna to serve in the joint se­cu­rity task­force named Op­er­a­tion Safe Heaven, as part of se­cu­rity mea­sures to re­turn per­ma­nent peace to the area.

The de­ploy­ment, ac­cord­ing to the State Com­man­dant, Al­haji Modu Bunu, was to re­in­force un­armed NSCDC per­son­nel in the eight di­vi­sions un­der Area C with head­quar­ters in Kafan­chan as well as to strengthen the pres­ence of mil­i­tary, po­lice and other agen­cies al­ready drafted to the area to re­store peace in view of the cri­sis that rav­aged the area re­cently.
