Court suspends Nasarawa PDP chair
AHigh Court in Nasarawa State has suspended the state chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Francis Orogu, and ordered the closure of the party secretariat in Lafia.
Presiding judge of High Court 2 Lafia, Justice John Viko, gave the order when he granted an ex-parte motion dated August 9, filed by Sarki Mohammed, the factional state PDP chairman.
The court also restrained Orogu from parading himself as the PDP chairman pending the hearing and determination of the motion on notice.
