‘APC’ll up­hold rules in Anam­bra gu­ber as­pi­rants screen­ing’

The Ondo State Deputy Gov­er­nor and chair­man of the Anam­bra State APC Gover­nor­ship Screen­ing Com­mit­tee, Ag­boola Ajayi, has said that the com­mit­tee will abide by the rules to dis­charge the task.

Ajayi, who said this yes­ter­day at the APC Na­tional Sec­re­tar­iat while field­ing ques­tions from jour­nal­ists, stated that the task would be ac­com­plished with high sense of jus­tice to ev­ery­body.

Mean­while, the APC has gen­er­ated the sum of N60.5 mil­lion from 12 gover­nor­ship as­pi­rants in Anam­bra State.

Each of the as­pi­rants paid N5.5mil­lion to ob­tain the nom­i­na­tion and ex­pres­sion of in­ter­est forms with the ex­cep­tion of the sin­gle fe­male as­pi­rant who re­ceived the doc­u­ments free of charge.

The APC Na­tional Or­gan­is­ing Sec­re­tary, Sen. Osita Izu­naso, on Wed­nes­day, in­au­gu­rated a seven-mem­ber screen­ing com­mit­tee for the as­pi­rants vy­ing for the Anam­bra gover­nor­ship seat on the plat­form of the party.

The com­mit­tee, chaired by Ondo State Deputy Gov­er­nor, has Hon. Dat­tuwa Ali Kumo; Barr. Awele Nwoko; Vice Ad­mi­ral Ishaya Ibrahim; Sen. Us­man Wowo; Hon. Hal­ims Agoda and Alh. Ba’aba Umar as mem­bers.

The screen­ing ap­peal com­mit­tee led by the Min­is­ter of Com­mu­ni­ca­tions, Barr. Ade­bayo Shittu, was also in­au­gu­rated.
