‘APC’ll uphold rules in Anambra guber aspirants screening’
The Ondo State Deputy Governor and chairman of the Anambra State APC Governorship Screening Committee, Agboola Ajayi, has said that the committee will abide by the rules to discharge the task.
Ajayi, who said this yesterday at the APC National Secretariat while fielding questions from journalists, stated that the task would be accomplished with high sense of justice to everybody.
Meanwhile, the APC has generated the sum of N60.5 million from 12 governorship aspirants in Anambra State.
Each of the aspirants paid N5.5million to obtain the nomination and expression of interest forms with the exception of the single female aspirant who received the documents free of charge.
The APC National Organising Secretary, Sen. Osita Izunaso, on Wednesday, inaugurated a seven-member screening committee for the aspirants vying for the Anambra governorship seat on the platform of the party.
The committee, chaired by Ondo State Deputy Governor, has Hon. Dattuwa Ali Kumo; Barr. Awele Nwoko; Vice Admiral Ishaya Ibrahim; Sen. Usman Wowo; Hon. Halims Agoda and Alh. Ba’aba Umar as members.
The screening appeal committee led by the Minister of Communications, Barr. Adebayo Shittu, was also inaugurated.
