2019: Group mobilises for youth participation in governance
Ahead of the 2019 general elections, a new group, Talk to 100, was inaugurated in Abuja yesterday to mobilise the nation’s youths for effective participation in governance.
Addressing journalists after the inaugural conference, the group’s director of publication, Mr Kenneth Gyado, said “each of the100 foundation members would recruit 100 persons in a multilevel development chain across Nigeria, with a sensitization programmme aimed at multiplying opportunities.”
Gyado maintained that it was time the youth took over power, saying “They should take over even now, why wait till 2019. In fact, the process of taking over has started by the passage of the Not Too Young To Run Bill already.”
