Boko Haram kills 4 in Borno vil­lage

Boko Haram mil­i­tants have at­tacked Amarwa vil­lage in Kon­duga Lo­cal Gov­ern­ment Area of Borno State, killing four peo­ple and in­jur­ing many oth­ers.

The in­sur­gents who in­vaded the vil­lage around 10 o’clock Sat­ur­day night, were also said to have set the en­tire vil­lage ablaze.

The Ex­ec­u­tive Di­rec­tor of the Net­work of the Civil So­ci­ety Or­ga­ni­za­tions in the state, Am­bas­sador Ahmed Shehu, who shared the story with news­men in Maiduguri yes­ter­day, said the in­jured ones had been hos­pi­tal­ized.

“Just got in­for­ma­tion from the vil­lage head that four peo­ple were found dead so far, and those in­jured were taken to hos­pi­tal,” he said.

Amarwa vil­lage is sit­u­ated close to a mil­i­tary check­point along the Maiduguri-Bama road.

At the time of fil­ing this re­port, nei­ther the po­lice nor the mil­i­tary in the state had con­firmed the at­tack.
