The Youth Initiative for Advocacy, Growth and Advancement ( YIAGA), has deployed 75 observers for the continuous voter registration (CVR) ahead of the governorship election in Anambra State later this year.

YIAGA said in a statement by its Executive Director, Samson Itodo, in Abuja, that the observers would, under Watching The Vote (WTV), focus on the methodology adopted during the continuous voter registration exercise.

The statement said the objectives of the observation would include assessing the process of the CVR, verifying the functionality of the new DDC machine and enhancing the compliance of INEC to electoral guidelines.

YIAGA said it would provide the most timely and accurate information on the conduct of the exercise, adding that its 75 observers would observe at least 225 out of the 326 wards in the state.
