Fac­ulty of so­cial sci­ence wins FUDMA In­ter fac­ulty games

Fac­ulty of So­cial Sciences has emerged as the over­all win­ner and best be­haved team of the 6th edi­tion of the Fed­eral Uni­ver­sity Dutsinma ( FUDMA) in­ter fac­ulty games. They took away the grand price of N100,000 for their out­stand­ing per­for­mance.

Speak­ing at the clos­ing cer­e­mony of the games, the Chair­man Se­nate Com­mit­tee on Ter­tiary In­sti­tu­tions and TETFUND Sen­a­tor Ba­rau Jib­rin en­joined the Ag. VC of the uni­ver­sity, Prof Ar­maya’u Hamisu Bichi not to re­lent in pro­mot­ing sport­ing ac­tiv­i­ties in the uni­ver­sity.

He said the Se­nate com­mit­tee on ter­tiary In­sti­tu­tions and TET FUND is mon­i­tor­ing closely the progress and chal­lenges of the Uni­ver­sity and urged mem­bers of the uni­ver­sity com­mu­nity to give the VC max­i­mum sup­port and co­op­er­a­tion in his ef­fort to make FUDMA more peace­ful.

He com­mended the stu­dent ath­letes for the high level of sports­man­ship and ex­pressed sat­is­fac­tion with the spirit of sports­man­ship dis­played.

In his re­marks, the act­ing vice chan­cel­lor as­sured of the uni­ver­sity’s readi­ness to con­tinue to boost aca­demic and sport­ing ac­tiv­i­ties as a vi­tal tool for youth de­vel­op­ment.
