Man who lured girl with N20 knows fate today

An Upper Sharia court in Sokoto will today give judgement in the case of a man, Hafis Aliyu, of Salame area who allegedly enticed an 8-year-old girl with N20 to rape her.

While reading the First Information Report, the prosecutor, Mohammed Mohammed, said one Aliyu Muhammad of Tamaje, the girl’s father, went to Unguwar Rogo Police Station to lodge complaint against the accused person.

He said the suspect called the complainant’s daughter and enticed her with N20 with the intention of raping her.

The accused confessed to have attempted to commit the offence.

The court, presided over by Kasimu Yusuf Hausare, has adjourned the case to today for judgement.
