Panel on mil­i­tary hu­man rights con­duct moves to Kaduna

The Pres­i­den­tial in­ves­ti­ga­tion Panel to re­view com­pli­ance of the Armed Forces with Hu­man Rights Obli­ga­tions and Rules of En­gage­ment un­der the Chair­man­ship of Jus­tice Bio­bele Abra­ham Georgewill will hold public hear­ing in Kaduna from Mon­day, Oc­to­ber 16 to 25.

A state­ment by Sec­re­tary to the panel, Suleiman Haliru in­vites all per­sons and stake­hold­ers wish­ing to en­gage it on its Terms of Ref­er­ence from the North West zone; with writ­ten or oral pre­sen­ta­tions to take this op­por­tu­nity to come and present their pe­ti­tions.

The panel would be sit­ting at the premises of the State High Court on Bida Road, Kaduna.

Vice Pres­i­dent Yemi Os­in­bajo on Fri­day, Au­gust 11 in­au­gu­rated the Panel to re­view com­pli­ance of the Armed Forces with Hu­man right obli­ga­tions and rules of en­gage­ment es­pe­cially in lo­cal con­flicts and in­sur­gency sit­u­a­tion.
