We’ll soon embark on grading of rural roads – Kwali chairman
The chairman of Kwali Area Council, Mr. Joseph K. Shazin, has said the council will soon embark on grading of some bad rural roads in the area.
Speaking to newsmen shortly after the council executive meeting on Tuesday, Shazin, said roads such Tukurwa, Fogbe, Tungan Sarki and Kuchichacha were in deplorable state, hence, the council has deliberated at the meeting to award contract for the grading and construction of the culverts.
He said the bad state of roads had been affecting socioeconomic activities especially rural of farmers who always transport their crops to market in Kwali.
He added that the council will embark on renovation of some clinics at rural communities and ensure drugs are available to patients.
The chairman added that arrangements have been concluded to renovate the council’s legislative arm’s building.
