Slain Kaduna teacher buried

Es­ther Taiwo Olo­ri­ade, a 39-year-old teacher who was stran­gled to death by un­known at­tack­ers in her home at Ung­wan Maigero in Chikun Lo­cal Gov­ern­ment Area of Kaduna state on 9th Novem­ber, 2017 has been laid to rest.

Her funeral prayer took place First Bap­tist yes­ter­day.

The de­ceased’s Peu­geot 307 was taken away by her as­sailants who stormed her res­i­dence af­ter her husband, Mr. Gbenga Olo­ri­ade had left the house and she was pre­par­ing for the day’s work.

It was at the Church af­ter her col­leagues at a pri­vate school, Good­news Academy where she was teach­ing did not see her and could not reach her on phone that they alerted her husband who re­turned to the house.

“When I got to the house and the car was not parked out­side, I con­cluded that she must have gone out, but I later heard the sound of the tele­vi­sion. I be­came ap­pre­hen­sive and quickly en­tered the house and I saw a rope on her neck with bruises all over her face. I rushed her to the hos­pi­tal where she was con­firmed dead. That was how she was killed and her car taken away by yet to be iden­ti­fied crim­i­nals,” the husband said.
