Kebbi po­lice nab 2 with hu­man skull

Two men who al­legedly spe­cialise in ex­hum­ing corpses for hu­man parts have been ar­rested by the po­lice at Wasagu area of Kebbi State while in pos­ses­sion of a hu­man skull.

The sus­pects, Sanusi Haruna and Monde Wande, were said to have con­cealed the skull in a bag and were tak­ing it to an undis­closed lo­ca­tion for rit­ual pur­pose when the po­lice, on a tip off, ar­rested them.

Speak­ing on their ar­rest, the Com­mis­sioner of Po­lice, Ibrahim M. Kabiru, said the sus­pects, af­ter their ar­rest, pro­vided use­ful in­for­ma­tion to the po­lice.

He said the sus­pects have been charged to court.

The CP added that the com­mand also ar­rested six mem­bers of three armed rob­bery gangs that spe­cial­ized in snatch­ing mo­tor­cy­cles by dis­guis­ing as pas­sen­gers.

He said two of the sus­pected robbers, Bashir Mohammed and Abubakar Sani, were ar­rested by the po­lice at Bagudo af­ter trick­ing a mo­tor­cy­clist who they stabbed and snatched his mo­tor­cy­cle.

The CP said Ab­dulka­reem Mohammed, Ab­dul­samad Mohammed and Mohammed Bello were ar­rested for at­tack­ing and rob­bing one Al­haji Umaru Dan­ladi at his res­i­dence and snatch­ing a mo­tor­cy­cle from one Yakubu Mohammed.

He said the com­mand also ar­rested two kid­nap sus­pects who in­vaded a house at Danko Wasagu and kid­napped a house­wife and her baby for a ransom.
