Africa Prudential wants vibrant cooperatives

Chairman of Africa Prudential Plc, Chief. Eniola Fadayomi has called for a vibrant co-operative system in Nigeria as agents of economic development.

Speaking at a dinner hosted by AP Plc for Co-operative Stakeholders in Africa, Mrs. Fadayomi said “we want the cooperative movement in Nigeria to become as active as it is in other parts of Africa.”

“For a country of this size and with the kind of exposure that we have in Nigeria, it’s amazing that we are not featuring as much as we should be on the continental cooperative scheme and we all know now that global alliances and global interaction is the order of the day. So, I really do hope that we ensure and take advantage,” she said.

She also used the occasion to challenge the new management board of AP Plc to introduce innovative ideas to drive the organisation forward.

The Managing Director / CEO, AP Plc Mr. Peter Ashade, said AP Plc wants to be known for ‘Development’.

“That is why we had consistently put our money where our heart is by partnering with Cooperative Federation of Nigeria” he said.
