ITEX announces new non-executive director
A financial technology company, ITEX Integrated Services Limited, has appointed the former sole administrator of Lagos Island Local Government, Bashir Abiola-Are as a non-executive director on its board of directors.
ITEX is one of the foremost Central Bank of Nigerialicensed payment terminal services provider companies to have successfully deployed and managed Point-ofSale terminals in Nigeria, a statement by the firm said.
According to the statement, Abiola-Are brought vast experience in digital payments and financial-inclusion offerings to the ITEX board as he had owned and operated MoneyMart in Maryland, United States of America.
The statement said he was the first Nigeria-born authorised Western Union agent in the BaltimoreWashington metropolitan area (Maryland, Virginia, Pennsylvania and Washington, DC).
