Lauretta Onochie’s controversial posts

-

The Personal Assistant to President Muhammadu Buhari on Social Media, Lauretta Onochie is considered as a controversial personality because of her aggressive method of defending the presidency and government policies.

Onochie recently challenged the presiding bishop of the Living Faith Church International, Bishop David Oyedepo, for rejecting the new regulation law on religious bodies.

According to her, if the statement faulting the federal government’s move is truly credited to Oyedepo, then the time has come for the cleric to manufacture his own country.

“I hope this is not true. If it is, Oyedepo will have to manufacture his own country and live by his own laws.

“As long as he lives and operates within the entity called Nigeria, he will live by Nigerian rules and laws. He will do as he’s told by the law. Enough of lawlessness,” she said on Twitter.

Her other controversial tweets include calling a sitting Senator, Enyinnaya Abaribe, a “Buffoon” because the Senator called for the resignation of President Buhari over insecurity in the country.

She posted this message on her Twitter handle: “1. Security issues are sad concerns around the world including Nigeria.

“Buffoon Enyinnaya Abaribe, telling Nigerians to “pick stones to stone THEM”, is out of order! It’s a call for anarchy!

To those who listen to him, Nigeria is not Sen. Ike Ekweremadu. Don’t even try it. Don’t!

“2. Abaribe has tried with Nnamdi Kanu, to rip this nation apart and failed when @atiku said there will be more herdsmen killing if @MBuhari was reelected, who said anything? How many stones did Abaribe throw?

Please throw the first stone. We are waiting.”

In 2017, she claimed on her Facebook page that some notable Nigerians had travelled to Niger Republic and India among other countries to hire marabouts to pray for President Buhari’s death.
