Trader arraigned over house breaking

The Osun State Police Command on Tuesday arraigned a 38-yearsold cloth dealer, Adeleke Muideen, at the Magistrate­s court in Osogbo, the state capital, for allegedly breaking into the house of one Oyelere Gbenga, Oyelere Omolade and Jimoh Musefiu to steal.

The prosecutor, Inspector Olayiwola Razaq, told the court that the accused person committed the offence on October 11, 2020 at about 1am at Owode, Ilesa Garage Area Osogbo.

Olayiwola told the court that the accused person stole phones, wrist watch and jewelries.

He said that the offence committed by the accused person was contrary to and punishable under Section 516, 412 and 390(9) of the Criminal Code Cap 34 vol. II Laws of Osun State Nigeria, 2002.

The accused person pleaded not guilty to the offence leveled against him and his counsel, Kehinde Adepoju applied for bail.

The magistrate, Adebola Ajanaku, admitted the accused person to bail in the sum of N250,000 with two sureties in like sum and adjourned the case to November 24, 2020 for hearing.
