Where, when should you make a U-Turn?

Making a U-Turn is one crucial decision you make while driving especially on a busy highway. A little wrong decision in timing and the place could put the driver on the danger spot.

The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) in its routine quiz platforms educates drivers on this. It said the platform tests the knowledge of its Facebook followers on some basic safe driving behaviours that are expected of a good driver.

In this edition of Daily Trust MOTORING, you will get to know the five strategic places on the road where one should not make a ‘U’ turn.

You must not make U-turns at or near the following places:

1. Crest or brow of a hill

2. Bends or corners

3. Where a NO U-TURN SIGN is pasted

4. Busy streets, highways or expressways

5. Any place where other drivers cannot see your vehicle from at least 120 metres

REMEMBER: Do not make U-Tum anywhere that it is unsafe to do so.
