Boko Haram Opens Fire on Travellers in Borno
Gunmen suspected to be Boko Haram militants yesterday opened fire at private and commercial vehicles along the Maiduguri-Damboa road in Borno State.
Vehicles going to southern part of the state from Maiduguri, the capital, usually escorted by the security personnel, assembled at Molai on the outskirts of the city where they were attacked.
There, Daily Trust on Sunday learnt that shortly before taking off, some gunmen suddenly appeared and shot sporadically, killing scores and injuring many.
At the time of filing this report, there was no comment from any of the security agencies on the attack.
