Max Air com­mences air­lift of pil­grim from Makkah

Max Air, one of the air­lines for this year’s hajj op­er­a­tion has com­menced air­lift of pil­grims back to Nige­ria.

A state­ment from the com­pany, signed by its Pub­lic Re­la­tions Man­ager, Al­haji Ibrahim Dahiru, said the ex­er­cise com­menced yes­ter­day with pil­grims from Katsina, Sokoto and Zam­fara states.

Ac­cord­ing to the state­ment, Kwara, Kaduna, Kano, Kogi and Kebbi are in the sec­ond set of pil­grims to be re­turned to Nige­ria by the air­line.

“We have de­ployed three air­craft with the ca­pac­ity of over 500 pas­sen­gers for the re­turn jour­ney”, he said.

The state­ment added that the air­line was al­lo­cated 35,000 pil­grims for this year’s an­nual pil­grim­age.
