NSCDC deploys 1000 personnel in Nasarawa
The Nasarawa State Command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) has deployed over 1000 officers and men across the state to ensure a hitch free Independent anniversary celebration.
The NSCDC Commandant in the state, Lawal Bashir Kano, in a statement signed by the command’s Public Relations Officer, Aso Okereke, said that in line with the national headquarters directives, the Corps has come up with an operational order whereby officers and men are deployed at strategic locations for surveillance and protection of critical infrastructure and national assets from the activities of vandals.
The commandant charged citizens of the state to desist from unpatriotic act and utterances that are capable of causing hatred and misunderstanding among various sections of the society, stressing the need for people to live in peace with their neighbours irrespective of ethnic, religious and political leanings.
He explained that all Area Command, Divisions and Out-post of the service are at alert in case of any eventuality, charging people to go about their normal businesses without fear of being molested as the Corps is equal to the task of ensuring the security of lives and property in conjunction with other security agencies.
