The man­age­ment of Wikki Tourists FC of Bauchi, has con­firmed the en­gage­ment of 18 new play­ers as part of prepa­ra­tion for the 2017/2018 pre­mier League sea­son.

This was dis­closed in a state­ment signed by the club’s me­dia of­fi­cer Bala Us­man Kurba.

It stated that the 18 play­ers were signed fol­low­ing a pro­posal sent to the man­age­ment of the team by the club’s Tech­ni­cal Ad­viser, Bala Nikyu which was later ap­proved by the Man­age­ment.

Ac­cord­ing to the state­ment, the newly signed play­ers are; Zakka Bala from Kano Pil­lars, Nafiu Kabuka from Kano Pil­lars, Chima Ndukwu from Plateau United, Onouha chuk­wu­jekwu from Remo stars, Muk­tari Ali kwura from Kano Pil­lars, and Gabriel jeremah from Niger Tor­na­does.

Oth­ers are; Nura Ibrahim from Kano Pil­lars, Joseph Ujah from Lobi stars, Sa­muel Kalu from Zoo United, Mustapha Ab­dul­lahi from Sports Light, Joshua Abah from ji­gawa Golden stars, Em­manuel Agwu from Ton­nal SC Ja­pan, Abubakar Umar from Abia War­riors and Pius Ibrahim from Kano Pil­lars.

The rest are; Emeka Onyia from Mighty Jet, Ab­dul­wa­hab Bidemi from Katsina United, Fa­somni Olaniyi from Sun­shine Stars and Chi­bundu Ama from Jaya Rock FC.

Wikki Gen­eral Man­ager, Awwalu Baba­jada said the man­age­ment is sat­is­fied with the cal­i­bre of the 18 new play­ers.

“Al­ready, we have en­tered into agree­ment with all the play­ers both old and new. What is left now is to com­mence full prepa­ra­tion be­fore the start of the league proper which we be­lieve our out­ing this sea­son will be fruit­ful,”he said.

He there­fore called on sup­port­ers of the club and all stake­hold­ers in foot­ball de­vel­op­ment in the state to part­ner with the man­age­ment.

He urged them to shun all forms of hooli­gan­ism when­ever the team is play­ing at home.
