Chelsea star, Mo­rata eyes Real Madrid re­turn

Al­varo Mo­rata has ad­mit­ted he would re­turn to Real Madrid de­spite be­ing sold by the club less than four months ago. The 25-year-old had two spells at the Bern­abeu af­ter Zine­dine Zi­dane’s side ex­er­cised their buy back clause in Mo­rata’s Ju­ven­tus con­tract. But the Spa­niard’s sec­ond stint at Real wasn’t a suc­cesss.

The Spa­niard moved to Chelsea in the sum­mer for £58mil­lion and has set­tled to life well in west Lon­don, scor­ing eight goals in 15 ap­pear­ances.

But on Span­ish ra­dio sta­tion Cadena Ser, Mo­rata re­vealed he would be open to a third spell at Los Blan­cos.

“Of course, I would re­turn to Real Madrid, but it’s com­pli­cated,” Mo­rata told the ra­dio’s main foot­ball pro­gramme El Lar­guero.

“I told the coach I wanted to play more. That I wanted to go is fool­ish­ness. I felt im­por­tant for Madrid, but I wanted to play in the Cham­pi­ons League knock­out stages.
