Jet crash: Air Force says in­jured of­fi­cers re­cov­er­ing

The two Air Force of­fi­cers who were in­jured as a re­sult of the crash which oc­curred in Abuja, on Fri­day, are re­cov­er­ing very well, Di­rec­tor, Pub­lic Re­la­tions and In­for­ma­tion, Nige­rian Air Force, Air Com­modore Ibikunle Daramola has said.

Speak­ing with Daily Trust on Sun­day over the phone yes­ter­day, he said the Chief of Air Staff (CAS), Air Mar­shal Sadique Abubakar vis­ited the of­fi­cers and that he was im­pressed by the level of progress. He charged the med­i­cal team to do their best and get the per­son­nel back on their feet.

He said the air dis­play to mark Nige­ria’s 58th In­de­pen­dence an­niver­sary cel­e­bra­tions will still take place.

Two Nige­rian Air Force (NAF) F-7Ni air­craft tak­ing part in the re­hearsals for the aerial dis­play to mark Nige­ria’s 58th in­de­pen­dence an­niver­sary crashed on Fri­day. One per­son­nel was killed while two oth­ers sus­tained in­juries.
