I’m human, correct me if I err – Sultan urges Islamic Scholars

Sunday Trust - - NEWS - From Abubakar Auwal, Sokoto

The Sultan of Sokoto, Muhammadu Sa’ad Abubakar has urged Islamic Scholars to always offer him useful advices in leading the Ummah.

He was speaking at the Qur’anic graduation ceremony of Sheikh Sidi Attahiru Institute for Qur’anic and General Studies, Sokoto.

“We should be called to order when we err because we are human like anybody. I assure you we will take the necessary step to correct it,” he said.

Sultan Sa’ad who lauded the scholars for their relentless efforts in propagating Islam, said the Sultanate Council was working with them to promote the true teachings of the religion in the country.

He pointed out that women needed knowledge to live happily with their spouses, to train their children and contribute to the development of their societies.
