Urhobo In La­gos Meet, Brain­storm On Na­tional Is­sues

PROM­I­NENT Urhobo sons and daugh­ters in La­gos will gather on Mon­day, Oc­to­ber 2, to dis­cuss the so­cioe­co­nomic and po­lit­i­cal de­vel­op­ments in the coun­try.

The event holds at the Ad­mi­ralty Con­fer­ence Cen­tre, Wil­mot Point, Naval Dock­yard Limited, Ah­madu Bello Way, Vic­to­ria Is­land, La­gos and starts at 12 noon.

Specif­i­cally, they will dis­cuss is­sues re­lat­ing to the de­vel­op­ment, growth, progress and sur­vival of the Urhobo Na­tion on the short and long terms un­der the theme: Urhobounity, Progress and the way For­ward.

The gath­er­ing, put to­gether by the Urhobo So­cial Club, La­gos, will be presided over by the Pres­i­dent Gen­eral of the Urhobo Progress Union (UPU) world­wide, Oloro­gun Moses Taiga.

Pub­lic Re­la­tions Of­fi­cer of the club, Prince Em­manuel Og­bon, said in a state­ment that the gath­er­ing will en­able mem­bers of the club, Urhobo sons and daugh­ters in La­gos to get more ac­quainted with one an­other and chart a road map for the unity and the progress of the Urhobo Na­tion.
