Hon­our For Nol­ly­wood Pro­ducer, Emem Isong, From Home State, Akwa Ibom

HON­OUR has come from home for pro­lific Nol­ly­wood Pro­ducer & CEO Royal Arts Academy Emem Isong Misodi. The no­table pro­ducer was re­cently hon­oured by His Ex­cel­lency Gover­nor Udom Em­manuel of Akwa Ibom State dur­ing the 30th year an­niver­sary cel­e­bra­tion of the state that had Vice Pres­i­dent Yemi Os­in­bajo as Spe­cial guest of hon­our.

Emem was hon­oured along with 30 other em­i­nent per­son­al­i­ties that have con- trib­uted im­mensely to de­vel­op­ment in the state in­clud­ing Sen­a­tor Tunde Og­beha, Obong Vic­tor At­tah, and Sen­a­tor Godswill Ak­pabio. It turned out that Emem was the only woman among the awardees and she was hon­oured for her iconic achieve­ment in the field of en­ter­tain­ment.

Mean­while, Emem is in Akwa Ibom to film her lat­est project; an epic series set in Ibibio land ti­tled ‘The Heiress’. She says “as a way of say­ing ‘thank you to my peo­ple,’ I have de­cided to film my next huge project in Uyo to con­tinue in our con­tri­bu­tions to­wards the de­velop- ment and growth of the movie in­dus­try in Akwa Ibom and in­deed Nol­ly­wood.’’ The

Heiress is a first-of-its-kind epic series that is a joint pro­duc­tion be­tween Royal Arts Academy & Rok Stu­dios. She has teamed up with long­time friend and col­league, Lancelot Oduwa Ima­suen.
