Lala Akin­doju Is Light, Cam­era Africa Film­fest Am­bas­sador

DAZ­ZLING Mi­rage star Lala Akin­doju has been named Fes­ti­val Am­bas­sador for the 2017 edi­tion of the Light, Cam­era Africa Film­fest, which kicked off at the Fed­eral Palace Ho­tel in La­gos yes­ter­day and will last till to­mor­row. Re­puted as one of Africa’s land­mark cul­tural and film event, the theme of this year’s fes­ti­val is ‘RE­SET’ and ac­cord­ing to founder and fes­ti­val di­rec­tor Ugoma Adegoke: “The sev­enth edi­tion of this year’s fes­ti­val will show­case to au­di­ences, a re­flec­tive pre­sen­ta­tion of film works and con­ver­sa­tions that ex­am­ine is­sues in var­i­ous spheres – in­clud­ing pol­i­tics, science, arts, cul­ture, and tra­di­tion – in or­der to iden­tify the re­flec­tions that are more rel­e­vant in Nige­ria.”

In its sev­enth edi­tion, the Light Cam­era Africa is aimed at cre­at­ing a plat­form that en­cour­ages stim­u­lat­ing dis­course on is­sues and ex­pe­ri­ences with fam­ily-friendly pro­gram­ming rooted in the African ex­pe­ri­ence. The ground­break­ing film, “An Opera of The World” by Man­thia Di­awara will be mak­ing its African pre­miere at the fes­ti­val.
