Avi-cenna do­nates N7.5m to kids liv­ing with can­cer, sickle cell

IN keep­ing with its tra­di­tion, Avi-cenna In­ter­na­tional School, La­gos has pre­sented N7.5mil­liom cheques to two lo­cal char­i­ties tak­ing care of chil­dren liv­ing with can­cer and sickle cell.

The money was raised from school events and do- na­tions from stu­dents and par­ents.

Chair­man of the school Mr. Dar­wish Foudeh, and the prin­ci­pal, Mr. David Og­burn pre­sented a cheque of N5 mil­lion to Dr. Nwobi on be­half of the Chil­dren Liv­ing with Can­cer Foun­da­tion. An­other cheque of N2.5 mil­lion was pre­sented to Dr. Akinyanju and Dr. Akin­sete rep­re­sent­ing the Sickle Cell Foun­da­tion Nige­ria at the school’s premises in Ikeja.

Og­burn said “both or­gan­i­sa­tions are de­pen­dent on fi­nan­cial con­tri­bu­tions from the com­mu­nity and we are de­lighted to con­trib­ute our time, ef­fort and money to such great causes.
