Diamond Bank, MTN, others unveil Tech Fest
DIAMOND Bank Plc in partnership with MTN, Visa, microsoft, Nigeria Inter-bank Settlement System Plc, Deloitte and Touche, Interswitch and Beat Fm plans to organise a technology event called Tech Fest.
According to the organisers, the event scheduled to hold in may in Lagos will feature the best talents in the Nigerian technology space, showcase technological solutions for businesses, connect technology providers with new markets and provide access-to-market opportunities for tech startups, among others.
The chief Executive officer, Diamond Bank, Uzoma Dozie, described Tech Fest as a platform to share with customers, help them get the best of technology, and partner to run better businesses.
He said he had learnt that to be the best, partnerships were not only needed, but essential.
According to the country Director, VISA, Emezino Afiegbe, VISA is happy to collaborate with reputable firms like Diamond, MTN and others to make Tech Fest a success.
Afiegbe said, “We are here to provide support for retail customers and consumers to make payment as seamlessly as possible. We believe that if they can make payment quickly and safely, the GDP will grow not just for the country, but also in the region. It all starts here and we are happy to be part of this journey as we go into the future.”
The General manager, Enterprise Business Unit of MTN, Barbara Anozia, stated that the partnership with Tech Fest was in line with the vision of MTN to offer customers a whole new digital world and make their lives brighter using technology to help them grow.
commenting on what to expect from Deloitte and Touche at Tech Fest, the company’s West Africa consulting Leader, Yemi Saka, said Deloitte would be bringing to the table a global perspective, innovation and exponential technologies to engage with a wider ecosystem.
