Ex-environment commissioner dies in China
The family of a former Commissioner for Environment in Edo State, Paul Kehinde Fashanu Udofe, has announced his death which occurred on January 19, 2017 in China during a business trip.
Udofe, who hailed from the Udofe family of Okpe in Akoko-Edo LGA of the state, was the Commissioner for Environment from 2004 to 2008. He was born on September, 1959 and left behind, his wife, Mrs. Flora Fashanu and some children.
He was a graduate of Clemson University and Adelphi University in the United States and a PHD student of the University of New Castle in the United Kingdom.
Udofe started his banking career with the Chase Merchant Bank in 1982 and was a philanthropist, businessman and politician. The burial arrangements, according to the family, will be announced later.
