FAAN beefs up se­cu­rity at air­ports

As Nige­ria celebrates 57th in­de­pen­dence an­niver­sary to­mor­row, the Fed­eral Air­ports Author­ity of Nige­ria (FAAN) has as­sured air trav­ellers and other air­port users of safety, se­cu­rity and com­fort at air­ports across the coun­try.

The Gen­eral Man­ager, Cor­po­rate Af­fairs of the author­ity, Mrs. Hen­ri­etta Yakubu, said in an­tic­i­pa­tion of the an­nual surge in pas­sen­ger traf­fic that is usu­ally the ex­pe­ri­ence dur­ing the cel­e­bra­tion, all nec­es­sary safety and se­cu­rity fa­cil­i­ties and ar­range­ments needed to en­sure seam­less fa­cil­i­ta­tion of trav­ellers had been put in place at the air­ports.

She said, “Our avi­a­tion se­cu­rity, fire and other op­er­a­tions of­fi­cers at the air­ports are fully ready to play host to our highly es­teemed guests, who would be trav­el­ling through our net­work of air­ports to cel­e­brate with Nige­ria.

“While wish­ing the na­tion a happy in­de­pen­dence an­niver­sary cel­e­bra­tion, FAAN re­mains com­mit­ted to her core val­ues of Safety, Se­cu­rity and Com­fort.”
