DPR trains 200 chemists, laboratory practitioners on data accuracy
No fewer than 200 chemists and laboratory practitioners are currently undergoing data accuracy and quality results for the nation oil and gas sector in Lagos. The two-day training with the theme: Accurate analytical data, the fulcrum for reliable scientific investigation is being organized by the regulatory arm of Ministry of Petroleum Resources, Department of Petroleum Resources (DPR). According to its director, Mr. Mordecai Baba Ladan, represented by Mrs Onyebuchi Sibeudu, Deputy Director, Safety, Health and Environment, the training became necessary in order to re-echo the vital role the practitioners play in Nigeria oil and gas sector. Ladan stressed that reports and data emanating from their laboratories and environmental investigations guide policy and project design decisions which have far reaching effects on the ecosystem and individual lives.
