Bayelsa seeks FG’s ap­proval on Agge sea­port

The Bayelsa State Gover­nor, Mr Se­ri­ake Dick­son, has asked the Fed­eral Gov­ern­ment to grant it ap­provals so it can de­velop the Agge multi-bil­lion naira deep sea­port project. Mr. Dick­son who paid a cour­tesy call on the Min­is­ter of Trans­porta­tion, Mr Ro­timi Amaechi, told jour­nal­ists af­ter the meet­ing that the deep sea­port has huge eco­nomic po­ten­tial and can un­lock the econ­omy of Bay­alsa State.

“…We came to dis­cuss col­lab­o­ra­tion and part­ner­ships. We came to see what sup­port we can get from the min­is­ter and the agen­cies un­der him in terms of the de­vel­op­ment of our deep sea port in Agge,” he said.

Amaechi promised that the fed­eral gov­ern­ment will give Bayelsa State all rel­e­vant ap­provals to en­able them de­velop the sea­port.
