Bayelsa seeks FG’s approval on Agge seaport
The Bayelsa State Governor, Mr Seriake Dickson, has asked the Federal Government to grant it approvals so it can develop the Agge multi-billion naira deep seaport project. Mr. Dickson who paid a courtesy call on the Minister of Transportation, Mr Rotimi Amaechi, told journalists after the meeting that the deep seaport has huge economic potential and can unlock the economy of Bayalsa State.
“…We came to discuss collaboration and partnerships. We came to see what support we can get from the minister and the agencies under him in terms of the development of our deep sea port in Agge,” he said.
Amaechi promised that the federal government will give Bayelsa State all relevant approvals to enable them develop the seaport.
