‘We’ve cor­doned off kid­nap­pers of Labour Party chair­man’s mother’

The Kwara State Po­lice Com­mand yes­ter­day dis­closed that it had lo­cated the area where the mother of Labour Party chair­man who was kid­napped on Sun­day in Ilorin is kept.

The com­mand fur­ther stated that it has mounted pres­sure on the four sus­pected kid­nap­pers of the 71-year-old woman, Mrs El­iz­a­beth Omo­to­sho, with the use of mod­ern tech­nol­ogy.

Speak­ing in Ilorin yes­ter­day dur­ing pa­rade of sus­pected crim­i­nals, the state com­mis­sioner of po­lice, Lawan Ado, said that the com­mand had been busy try­ing to un­ravel the crime and nab the kid­nap­pers with track­ing de­vices.

He said that the com­mand had ear­lier com­menced in­ves­ti­ga­tion with a “stop and search” method, adding that his men had cor­doned off the iden­ti­fied hide­out of the kid­nap­pers.

How­ever, the com­mis­sioner of po­lice also pa­raded six sus­pected gun­men, who al­legedly kid­napped one Us­man Muham­mad of Sabo Osi in Ek­iti Lo­cal Gov­ern­ment Area of the state on Novem­ber 7.
