Engineers elect new national executive
The Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE) has elected a new 13-member national executive officers that would run the affairs of the organisation in 2018.
The outgoing National President of the society, Engineer Otis Oliver Anyaeji, said this yesterday in Abuja while presenting the communiqué of the week-long “Abuja 2017” National Engineering Conference and Annual General Meeting (AGM) with the theme: “Diversification of Nigerian Economy: Engineering Perspective.”
Those elected are Adekunle Mokuolu, President, Babagana Mohammed, Deputy President, while the three vice presidents are Gidari-Wudil Tasiu Saad, Akinteye Joseph Olatunde and Mrs Ishidi Yohanna Edith.
The Executive Secretary-elect is Olusola Obadimu, the immediate past president Anyaeji is also included, while the six executive committee members are Ibitoye Felix Adediran, Adediran Halimat Sope, Garba Yakubu Ali, Prof Abdulrahim Abdulbaqi, Igwegbe Chinyere Nnenna and Dr Babalola Rasheed.
The communiqué said the government should create an enabling environment to promote commercialization of research results to increase availability of renewable energy resources at competitive cost.
