Civil de­fence res­cue 2 girls in Lafia

The Nasarawa State Com­mand of the Nige­ria Se­cu­rity and Civil De­fence Corps (NSCDC) yes­ter­day res­cued two girls ab­ducted and locked for seven days in an apart­ment by a man in Lafia, the state cap­i­tal.

State Com­man­dant, Muhammed Mah­moud Fari, who pa­raded the vic­tims, said a man, now at large ab­ducted the girls aged 18 and 15 years, kept them in­side a house for seven days and fled.

The com­man­dant said the hus­band of one of the vic­tims Ibrahim Nasiru re­ported the mat­ter to the com­mand and ef­forts to get her through phone num­ber proved abortive.

He said the Com­mand’s in­tel­li­gence unit traced the house where the vic­tims were locked and a spe­cial squad breaks the en­trance door to res­cue them.
